SKR (formerly SKL) is a member organisation that supports officials and elected representatives in Sweden's municipalities and regions. It contributes knowledge, advisory services and training that strengthen healthcare, schools and community planning. Together with its members it develops welfare services and takes steps towards a sustainable future.
SKR is Sweden's largest employers' organisation, with 1.2 million employees in municipalities and regions. By creating attractive terms and offering interesting jobs, employers can attract staff with the right skills and secure the supply of competence for the welfare services of the future.
SKR is the employer and member organisation for all 290 Swedish municipalities and 21 county councils. Together with my team I built a mobile application in AngularJS that lets 400 case workers access data on municipalities and their staff directly in the field.
To deliver fast response times we chose a microservices architecture with an API Gateway against aggregated documents in Elasticsearch. We built a dedicated OAuth2 server to securely expose Active Directory from NetIQ to the app.
