Kammarkollegiet serves as asset manager, procurement agency, insurer and legal counsel for the Swedish state administration. The Swedish Inheritance Fund (Allmänna arvsfonden) is also administered by the agency.
Around 350 people work at Kammarkollegiet — mainly lawyers, economists and qualified case officers. The agency has offices in Stockholm, Karlstad and Härnösand.
Kammarkollegiet was established as early as 1539, making it Sweden's oldest government agency. Today it reports to the Ministry of Finance.
Kammarkollegiet's Capital Management arm manages equities and fixed-income securities on global capital markets for foundations and funds with state or ecclesiastical affiliation. I started as a developer and grew after a year into the Lead Developer role.
The role included supporting the agency with investigations, quality-assuring sprint deliveries and doing hands-on development. Integrated SugarCRM with SimCorp Dimension — an enterprise investment management system — and built integrations to Agresso where SugarCRM acts as source of truth for master data. To meet the agency's security requirements we also built an integration to Novell eDirectory (LDAP).
