A bioindustry company wanted to give its salespeople better support in their daily fieldwork, where the products are brought out and presented directly to customers. The solution was a SugarCRM integration, adapted to support ERP-style processes for order and inventory management. By bringing customer information, product data and business flows together in one shared solution, a clearer link was created between the sales work in the field and the company's internal processes.
As part of the solution, a mobile app was also developed for the salespeople to use directly during customer meetings. In the app they could present detailed information about a product's origin and pedigree, and show forecasts of the expected future traits of the offspring.
